Douglas McGeorge is the Immediate Past President of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and has a wide experience in all aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, specialising in breast and facial cosmestic surgery.

Mr McGeorge also teaches cosmetic surgery. He graduated from the Victoria University of Manchester in 1980, and, after extensive training in units within the UK and abroad, was appointed to the post of Consultant Plastic Surgeon in 1992. Having started the Plastic Surgery Department at the Countess of Chester Hospital in 1993, he left to continue development of his own practice 10 years later.

He remains a committed tutor in plastic and aesthetic surgery within the northwest region. At present, Douglas McGeorge works privately as consultant plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon at the Grosvenor Nuffield Hospital in Chester, as well as Spire North Cheshire and Murrayfield. An invited speaker on breast reconstruction and aesthetic surgery both nationally and internationally, his main areas of interest are breast surgery and facial rejuvenation. He is also currently involved in establishing a training programme in Aesthetic Surgery, which offers hands-on practice to juniors.

As an experienced, fully accredited plastic surgeon, he is on the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council and is a full member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, (BAAPS), the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, (ISAPS) and the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, (BAPRAS). He is on the Council of BAAPS and was President of the Association between 2006 and 2008. Mr Douglas McGeorge is currently featured on the new Channel 4 TV series The Ugly Face of Beauty.
